With Zimbabwe in the process of going digital, this seems like a very promising time for Zimbabwean filmmakers and film producers. There will definitely be a need for more content, if rumours of the many channels that are to come are anything to go by.

According to the Media Institute of Southern Africa - Zimbabwe (MISA), the country is likely to begin receiving digital broadcasts by November this year.
The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has set 2015 as the deadline to migrate all analogue television transmissions to digital platforms. Although we missed the SADC deadline of 2013, we do hope that before the end of the year there will be a new space for new productions and also growth in the country's economy.
