Great Things for Greater People
SMWebCreate - The End is HereOn Wednesday 24 August 2016, starting from 7AM Central African Time, we will be performing an infrastructure optimization, which will involve moving all existing accounts and websites from our smwebcreate.com server, to a new server under our nzym.org architecture and a change of shared IP address (not including accounts with dedicated IP address).
This is a standard and seamless procedure that will be performed mostly when server traffic is minimal. We do not expect any downtime for our existing clients, however brief outages of a few minutes are possible while migrating the data to the new server.
What you need to do?
Because of the hardware and IP change, the DNS settings of all our existing domain(s), those that we host, have to be updated. Whether any action is required from you depends on where your domains are managed:
Domains that are managed by SMWebCreate will be updated automatically without any action required on the part of our clients.
Externally managed domains will have to be updated manually by our input and to the third parties involved with input from those clients. Meanwhile, traffic from the SMWebCreate server is automatically redirected to the new NZYM server, ensuring no downtime and providing our clients with 7 days to update their settings.
We also kindly recommend that our clients should avoid making any changes to their websites on migration day in order to prevent data loss.
The other reason why this is being done now is due to the new changes that we shall avail soon in terms of our web development programmes and products.
Please excuse us for any inconvenience caused by this procedure.
